Therefore, I create « screens » which hasas its function and concept to protect or hide, defining an imaginary boundary, an intimate ceramic moucharabieh. I try to give the viewer the ability to re-center him or herself on the simple things in life, and build his own story from a fusion which juxtaposes contemporary and nostalgic life-styles. It will make him feel unrestrainded by judgments or criticism and free from accumulated artifacts. In trying to answer if an object can fulfill his emotional needs he will be enabled to choose to be « reborn » by relinquishing those objects that are superfluous.

A graduate from Central Saint Martins, Remy is a ceramic artist who is making his name for the delicate, translucent and poetic ceramic work he creates.
Among the pieces he makes are arresting, statement jewellery (origami in day), and curious lamps with a sense of the organic (seek out his honeycombed porcelain examples – as pale and fragile in appearance as a wasp’s nest).
